BUCYRUS — Two men were transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital after a man drove his vehicle into a Crawford County building Tuesday afternoon.

According to Bucyrus Police Chief David Koepke, shortly after 2 p.m. the department received a report of a vehicle being driven over a curb on Mary Street and striking the steps of the Crawford County Children Services building.

Koepke said the vehicle was driven into the steps striking a railing, which struck a pedestrian causing minor injuries.

Both were transported to the hospital as a result.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Koepke said a preliminary investigation led officers to believe a medical issue caused the driver to blackout and drive the vehicle off the road.

Minor damage occurred to the steps of the building but the facility remained open.
