Jerry DeVol (80)
April 17, 1930 - August 31, 2010
Mr. DeVol was a 1948 graduate of Bucyrus High School and attended The Ohio State University as an accounting major. He entered the Army in 1951. During his service he was stationed in Korea as a cook.
Over the years, Jerry was involved in many organizations and held numerous jobs. He worked at Wilkins Air Force Depot near Shelby, as a bartender at Posey’s Restaurant, as an animal technician for Dr. George Neikirk, as a bartender at the American Legion Post 181, as City Treasurer for half a term, and most recently as a dispatcher for the Bucyrus Police Department from which he retired. He was a 35 year member of the American Legion Post 181, a lifelong member of AMVETS #27, VFW #1078 and Moose Lodge #669. He was also a member of the United States Air Force Ready Reserve from 1953-1957 and a Notary Public. Jerry loved animals and enjoyed baseball, football, The Ohio State Buckeyes, harness racing, driving to car lots to look at cars, taking his girls shopping and spending time at the lake.

Funeral Service Information, Friends may call Friday, September 3, 2010 after 12 noon at Wise Funeral Service where the family will receive friends from 5-7 PM. A prayer service will be offered at 4:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Saturday at 10:30 AM with Fr. Frederick Schill officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by American Legion Post #181. Paul E. Beck (85)
July 21, 1925 - August 30, 2010
Mr. Beck lived his entire life in Crestline. With his father, he operated Beck Insurance from 1946 to 1990. He spent 38 years on the railroad working for the Pennsylvania, Penn Central, ConRail and Amtrak. While on furlough from the railroad he delivered dairy products for the former Sherer’s Dairy. He was a volunteer for the Crestline Fire Dept. from 1950 to 1968. From 1946 to 1980, he worked with his cousin at the former Robert F. Beck Funeral Home, Crestline. He got great satisfaction participating in the Ohio Reads Program. Paul was active in his community and was a life member of the Crestline Lions Club for many years, life social member of the American Legion Post 488 in Crestline, and a fifty year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859 in Crestline. He was named a Kentucky Colonel. His membership in the Masonic Lodge played a central part in his life. He was a member of Galion Lodge #414, F.and A.M., Galion, Chapter No. 88 Royal Arch Masons, Mansfield Council No. 94, Royal and Select Masons. Commandery No. 21 Knights Templer, Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine in Columbus, and he was a member of the Knight Masons of Ireland. Paul was a loving son who was proud to work along side of his father. He was a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He took great pride in living to see his great grandchildren.

Funeral Service Information, Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 PM 7-9 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline where Masonic Services will be held at 6:45 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 3, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Crestline, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank, in care of the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home.

William “Bill” Rimmer (57)
March 17, 1953 – August 29, 2010
Mr. Rimmer was a lifelong Bucyrus resident and a Bucyrus High School Graduate in 1972, for many years Bill was a heating, ventilation, air conditioning technician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Life Member of Amvets Post 27 and a member of VFW Post 1078.
