MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The 911 calls have been released in connection with a standoff that occurred at 560 South Main Street in Mansfield on January 7, 2024. The incident resulted in two people injured and one person dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Mansfield Police Department responded to the scene following multiple 911 calls reporting a disturbance at the South Main Street address. The situation quickly escalated into a standoff, with law enforcement attempting to negotiate a peaceful resolution.

Despite their efforts, the standoff ended tragically when one individual reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Two other individuals were injured during the incident, although the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

The identities of those involved have not been released, and the circumstances leading up to the standoff are still under investigation. The Mansfield Police Department is urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward.
