BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—United Way of North Central Ohio (UWNCO) has announced the appointment of cc Carmon Walter as the new Development Director for Crawford and Wyandot counties. Walter, a native of Crawford County and a graduate of Buckeye Central High School in New Washington, officially joined the team on October 31.
In her new role, Walter will be responsible for coordinating United Way’s annual campaign in the region. Her duties will include developing and managing workplace campaigns with local businesses, coordinating fundraising events, and building relationships with donors and community impact partners.
Walter’s first day on the job was spent at the workplace campaign kickoff event for Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, one of UWNCO’s most generous corporate donors. “Carmon jumped right into the deep end,” said UWNCO Executive Director Amber Wertman.
Wertman praised Walter’s transition to the team as seamless and highlighted her extensive experience in event planning and customer relations. “With deep roots in Crawford County and significant ties to Wyandot, she’s going to be a great representative for UWNCO in the community,” Wertman said.
Walter expressed her excitement about joining UWNCO and her eagerness to give back to the communities that have supported her throughout her life. “I love connecting people with a common goal and want to help build the teams that can fill our communities with successful children, healthy families, and self-sufficient residents,” Walter said.
