Disturbance call leads to arrest of Galion man on two charges

GALION—A Galion man was arrested in the 800 block of Harding Way East when Galion Police officers investigated a report of a disturbance.

At 10:02 p.m. on Friday, Jeffrey L. Alexander, 29, Galion, was arrested on charges of domestic violence and possession of drugs.

7:09 a.m.-A report of a suspicious van in the 100 block of North Columbus Street was investigated. The driver was waiting for someone to help him fix the vehicle.

7:14 a.m.-A wallet found at Dollar General was turned over to officers.

2:44 p.m.-A parking complaint was investigated in the 700 block of Briarwood Drive and the person is having the vehicle towed.

6:29 p.m.-A report of a missing or runaway juvenile was investigated in the 300 block of South Market Street.

7:32 p.m.-A Charles Street residence reported water totes stolen from their property.

8 p.m.-A resident in the 700 block of Cherry Street reported their neighbor keeps taking photos of them.

11:16 p.m.-A report of someone with a flashlight in the Hess Street area was investigated.

1:54 a.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in the 900 block of Portland Way North.

2:46 a.m.-Travis L. Workman was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the South Market Street. He was also arrested on an Ashland County warrant.

2:48 a.m.-Zacharia C. Hill was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the 7700 block of Ohio 309.

9:53 a.m.-A report of a woman on Cherry Street passed out on her porch with an infant inside the car. Mickie L. Crider admitted to drug use and was arrested for child endangerment.

12:31 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 400 block of Hensley Avenue.

4:38 p.m.-Officers assisted EMS personnel at Kentucky Fried Chicken.

7:01 p.m.-A report of an assault was investigated in the 600 block of North Columbus Street.

9:05 p.m.-A standby was conducted in the 1000 block of Smith Street.

9:23 p.m.-Louis Kimberlin Jr. was arrested on an active warrant and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center.

1:42 a.m.-Julie A. Smith was issued a citation for driving under suspension in the South Street area.

3:32 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 1400 block of Baehr Street.

3:50 p.m.-Officers assisted two homeless people in the East Park area.

6:29 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 400 block of Harding Way East. One person was issued a warning for disorderly conduct and given a court date on an outstanding warrant.

9:36 p.m.-A domestic dispute was investigated in the 400 block of Libby Lane. One person was warned for trespassing.
