The Crawford County Commissioners have issued the following Temporary order in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Public Health Crisis:

On March 9, 2020, Ohio Governor Mike De Wine issued Executive Order 2020-01D “Declaring a State of Emergency” in response to the growing COVID 19 public health crisis.
On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization officially declared COVID-19 to be a global “pandemic” requiring “urgent and aggressive action” to control the spread of the virus.
This matter comes before the Court upon the immediate danger to public health and safety and Court finds it necessary to issue the following orders:

THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:

1. Effective November 30, 2020, and until further Court notice, the Crawford County Courthouse will be closed to the general public. This order does not include:

a. Law Enforcement;

b. Attorneys and their office staff;

c. Media;

d. Necessary parties to the proceeding;

e. Persons previously scheduled for court;

f. Victims’ rights advocates;

g. Any other category of persons this Court determines to be appropriate.

Due to confusion by the previous order, it is hereby ordered that if you have business to conduct in the Courthouse, you are permitted to enter. For example, if you need to pay your real estate taxes or pay for dog licenses, you may enter to conduct that business.

2. It is hereby ordered that no family, friends or other persons shall – accompany court participants into the Courthouse. This rule shall be strictly enforced. There will be no exceptions to this order unless approved by this Court.

3. Each Court and County Department shall implement procedures to allow appropriate social distancing to ensure public health and safety.

4. Effective immediately, the following persons shall not enter the Crawford County Courthouse:

a. Persons who have been diagnosed with, or have had contact with
anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are symptomatic;

b. Persons who have been asked to self-quarantine by any doctor,
hospital or health agency;

c. Any person not wearing a proper facial covering;

d. Persons with a temperature which exceeds One Hundred (100) degrees.

5. Anyone attempting to enter in violation of the above-mentioned protocols shall be denied entry into the Crawford County Courthouse.

Despite the above-mentioned procedures and orders, this Court is dedicated to and will endeavor to ensure that justice continues to be served, that all constitutional rights are protected and that persons are served.
