DELAWARE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The civil lawsuit against former Bucyrus attorney, Adam Stone, has reached a conclusion in the Delaware County Common Pleas Court. The lawsuit, filed by Mindy Straker and represented by Columbus Attorney Rob Miller, accused Stone of negligence, fraud, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

In a Summary Judgment, Judge David Gromley found Stone guilty of negligence and fraud, citing instances where Stone provided false information to the Straker family regarding the investigation into their son’s death. Stone fabricated documents and made false claims about the investigation, causing distress to the family.

The Judge granted judgment in favor of the Strakers on their claims for legal malpractice and fraud but denied their motion for summary judgment on their claim for intentional infliction of emotional distress. The crossclaim filed by Eyer Stone, Ltd. against Stone also remains pending.
