Galion appoints new Police Chief

GALION—Effective immediately, Ryan Strange assumes the role of Chief of Police for the Galion Police Department. His selection came after a rigorous assessment process conducted by PRADCO, a renowned firm specializing in evaluating leadership positions within safety forces.

Ryan’s career within the department began in 2009 when he joined as a patrol officer. Throughout the years, he demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, leading to his promotion to the position of lieutenant, where he served admirably for almost five years. His involvement with the Special Response Team (SRT) further showcased his commitment to maintaining public safety. In 2021, he earned the distinguished title of detective, solidifying his expertise in the field.

In preparation for his new leadership role, Ryan successfully completed the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) trilogy leadership training, a program renowned for equipping law enforcement agencies across the nation with exceptional leadership and management skills.

Ryan Strange eagerly anticipates this new chapter for the Galion Police Department, expressing his enthusiasm for leading a dedicated team that is passionate about serving the community.
