GALION — Two men were arrested on various charges during a traffic stop by Galion Police early Sunday morning.

The three men inside the vehicle pulled over then went into a garage in the 200 block of South Pierce Street at 12:12 a.m. Officers forced entry into the garage and arrested Robert A. Baker II, 31, Galion, for obstruction of justice and a warrant and Steven L. Conner, 27, Galion, for obstruction. Trevor Gantz was issued a citation for driving under suspension.

1:27 a.m.-A motorist was issued a written warning for speeding and drug paraphernalia was seized from the vehicle in the Harding Way East area.

8:19 a.m.-A report of a juvenile with vape at Galion High School was investigated.

10:31 a.m.-A South Street business owner reported a vehicle broken into and a CD player stolen.

1:12 p.m.-A cell phone found in the Clymer Avenue area was turned over to officers.

2:27 p.m.-A report of a dispute between neighbors in the 400 block of West Atwood Street was investigated.

4:36 p.m.-An Edward Street resident reported issues with a neighbor and was referred to the county prosecutor’s office.

5:43 p.m.-Matthew T. Burchett, 38, Galion, was arrested in the South Market Street after a reported of a man staggering down the sidewalk and into the roadway.

5:59 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 800 block of Hess Street.

7:15 p.m.-A welfare check was conducted in the 300 block of Sherman Street.

7:37 p.m.-Sarah Mehaffey, 44, Prospect, was arrested for possession of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia after the vehicle she was driving nearly hit a police cruiser head-on in the Ohio 61 area. She was issued a citation for driving under suspension, failure to control and driving outside marked lanes.

8:31 p.m.-Christopher Combs was issued a citation for no operator’s license and a brake light out in the West Parson Street area.

9:59 p.m.-A report of fraud was taken in the 200 block of North Columbus Street.

10:16 p.m.-Morgan J. Minamyer Jr., 39, Galion, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

1:14 p.m.-A report of a sex offense was taken and is under investigation.

1:27 p.m.-Needles found at East Park were collected by police for proper disposal.

3:49 p.m.-A custody dispute was investigated at Galion Primary School and Tiffany M. Szabo was issued a citation for driving under suspension.

1:55 a.m.-A report of suspicious people at Cobey Park was investigated. The people were issued verbal warnings for disorderly conduct and remove their belongings from the area.

10 a.m.-Stephen R. Musgrave was issued a citation for speeding in the 900 block of South Market Street.

11:49 a.m.-A report of an assault was taken at Galion Community Hospital. A person reported being struck by their neighbor’s car.

12:37 p.m.-A report of people camping in tents at Cobey Park was investigated.

2:04 p.m.-Officers spoke to an unruly juvenile in the 900 block of Harding Way East.

7:55 p.m.-A report of people stealing bottled water from Circle K was investigated. Wesley Walker was issued a summons for criminal mischief and both he and Holly Williams were issued warnings for trespassing at Circle K.

9:49 p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office in the 6400 block of Monnett-New Winchester Road with a domestic violence call.

1:23 a.m.-A report of an unwanted man at a residence in the 600 block of Grand Street. The man was issued a warning for disorderly conduct.

1:42 a.m.-A report of a missing juvenile was investigated in the 200 block of South Columbus Street.

4:46 a.m.-A report of loud music in the Smith Street area was investigated.

4:54 a.m.-Wesley Walker was arrested for trespassing and disorderly conduct by intoxication at Cobey Park.

10:25 a.m.-A North Market Street resident reported a stereo speaker stolen from their vehicle overnight.

11:45 a.m.-A report of a woman screaming was investigated in the 400 block of Libby Lane. It was a verbal domestic dispute.

12:37 p.m.-A report of a rape at Heise Park was taken and is under investigation.

3:30 p.m.-A report of a juvenile making threats was investigated in the 600 block of Grand Street. The juvenile was warned to stay away from the residence.

4:03 p.m.-A report of a disorderly man was investigated in the 900 block of Charles Street. The man was issued a warning for trespassing at a residence in the area and the Rainbow Motel.

4:05 p.m.-A resident came to the police department to report being threatened by someone they know.

7 p.m.-Officers investigated a crash involving a vehicle that hit a light pole in the 700 block of Boyd Boulevard. The driver was issued a citation for failure to control. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Ronk’s Towing.

7:49 p.m.-A Gill Avenue resident reported receiving threatening phone calls.

10:16 p.m.-A report of a domestic dispute was investigated in the North Market Street area.
