Galion Police charge two in shooting

GALION—An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting reported on May 23, 2023. Galion Police Chief Ryan Strange issued the following news release:

Dakota Ray Craft of Galion has been indicted on the following charges:

1 Count Felonious Assault (Felony 2)
1 Count Improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school safety zone (Felony 2)
1 Count Intimidation of an attorney, victim, or witness in a criminal case (Felony 3)
1 Count Having Weapons under disability (Felony 3)
2 Counts Tampering with Evidence (Felony 3)

Craft’s mother, Connie Stoner, has also been indicted on charges connected to the incident of Tampering with Evidence (Felony 3).

The Galion Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in this case.

This was a tough investigation, and I want to give special thanks to our Detectives. Their hard work and dedication are directly responsible for these arrests.
