GALION—The Galion City Schools have partnered with the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio to host the Crawford County Mobile Drive-Thru Pantry event. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25, and will be held on the district’s campus at Galion Middle School from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

The Second Harvest Food Bank will be distributing assorted boxes of shelf-stable food, fresh produce, frozen meat, milk, and other items for free. Participants are encouraged to pre-register for the event at https://bit.ly/sh-fb_Apr25. While registration is not required, it is highly recommended. Families who cannot attend but have someone else pick up food for them must pre-register and provide a copy of a photo ID to present at the time of pick-up.

The distribution will be drive-thru only for everyone’s safety. Each household receiving food is required to present a photo ID, and participants are asked to remain in their vehicles. Food will only be placed in the trunk of the vehicle and cannot be placed in the front or back seat area. Participants are also asked to ensure their trunk space is clean and clear of other items. Two households per vehicle are permitted.

For any questions, families can call (419) 468.3134, ext.13549. The Galion City Schools and Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio are equal opportunity providers.
