A Christmas gift card was the only thing needed to prompt Nina Miley to visit the new Tim Hortons restaurant in Galion, but plenty of other people took the time to stop by during the first day of the breakfast chain’s opening.
“It’s a nice little place, very quaint,” Miley said as she sat enjoying a small meal with her granddaughter, Cheyann Miley. “It’s bringing a lot of business to Galion, which is what we need.”
“We’re thrilled to death to be in Galion,” said Steve Hill, a self-professed “old donut guy” and co-owner of the restaurant. “It’s another step in north central Ohio. Great community and we look forward to being a part of it.”
RSSUM Holdings, LLC, which owns the Galion Tim Hortons, opened its Bucyrus location in November, a Mansfield location in June, and another in Ashland. A Tiffin location is expected to open within the next few days.
“It’s been fantastic,” Hill said about the latest opening day for one of his restaurants. “Cars were circling the parking lot at 6:30 this morning. Finally got our ovens fired up and electric and everything ready to go at 10. We’re here to serve Galion, the community, and the Galion Tigers.”
