COLUMBUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is participating in the 11th annual “Best Looking Cruiser” contest, a national competition sponsored by the American Association of State Troopers (AAST). The OSHP is rallying support for their new Dodge Durango, which is currently in the running for the title of the nation’s best-looking cruiser.

The contest, which is more than just a competition, is a symbol of state pride and a show of support for the troopers who work tirelessly to keep Ohio safe, according to Colonel Charles A. Jones, Patrol superintendent.

“Voting for our cruiser is more than just a contest,” said Jones. “It’s a way to show pride in our great state and support for our troopers who work tirelessly to keep Ohio safe.”

Voting is open to the public and will continue until Monday, July 29 at noon. Votes can be cast once per day, per device, through the Patrol’s social media pages, the AAST website, or by scanning a designated QR code.

This contest provides an opportunity to showcase one of the Patrol’s most iconic brand images on a national stage. With community support, the Patrol aims to secure a spot in the annual AAST calendar, a feat they have achieved nine out of the last 10 years, consistently placing in the top 13.

The OSHP encourages Ohioans to vote often and help their state cruiser earn national recognition. For more information on how to vote, visit the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s social media pages or the AAST website.
