SANDUSKY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol is set to host a regional testing event for prospective applicants on February 20 at the Cedar Point Sports Center, located at 2701 Cleveland Road in Sandusky.

The event, which begins at 9 a.m., offers interested individuals the opportunity to learn more about a career of service on Ohio roadways and in our communities. Attendees will have the chance to speak with troopers about the rewarding aspects of their work.

Prospective applicants who meet the basic requirements – age 20 to 39, U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license – will be able to complete an application and take a written test during the event. Those who pass the written test can proceed to take the physical fitness assessment on the spot.

Applicants are advised to arrive in appropriate business attire with identification and to bring physical fitness clothing with them. This regional testing opportunity accelerates the first few steps of the application process, bringing applicants closer to their goal of becoming a trooper.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, known for its highly motivated and well-trained professionals, is committed to providing quality service to Ohio residents, visitors, and businesses. For those looking to make a difference in their community, becoming a trooper could be the right career choice.

The Patrol is currently accepting applications for the next Academy Class. For those unable to attend the event on February 20, or for more details on the requirements or application process, please call 1-866-TROOPER or visit the Ohio State Highway Patrol website.
