Semi takes down power lines in Galion

GALION—A hit-skip accident was investigated at 10:47 a.m. on Tuesday in the 200 block of Portland Way North by Galion Police.

The driver of a semi-truck hit a pole, tearing down electric lines and breaking the pole, then left the area. The Ontario Police Department was advised to be on the lookout for the truck.

12:50 a.m.-One person was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop in the 100 block of Portland Way North. The vehicle was searched and suspected marijuana was found.

1:10 a.m.-A Third Avenue resident reported someone attempting to break into their house. Officers did not locate anyone in the area.

2:48 a.m.-A Fellow Street resident reported someone was in there house and they could see them through a camera. Officers did not locate anyone inside the residence.

4:19 a.m.-A person was issued a warning for trespassing at the Heise Park restroom area.

6:54 a.m.-Matthew J. Morasco was issued a citation for speeding on North Market Street.

7:37 a.m.-A person was issued a court date on a warrant during a traffic stop in the South Market Street area.

9 a.m.-Wesley Walker was arrested on a warrant at the Galion Municipal building.

11:30 a.m.-A safe that had been broken open was found at Amann’s Reservoir and turned over to officers.

11:54 a.m.-A report of a vehicle running red lights on Ohio 309 near Nazor Road.

12:26 p.m.-Officers assisted Children Services personnel in the 100 block of South Sherman Street.

3:17 p.m.-Officers assisted the Rossford Police Department in the 900 block of Downing Place by delivering a message to a resident.

5 p.m.-A report of a child driving a small vehicle on the street in the 700 block of Maple Heights. A parent of the child was advised to keep her out of the street.

5:32 p.m.-A report of a man and child rolling equipment around at Heise Park was investigated. Curtis Hale was advised to contact the Willard Police Department in regards to a warrant.

7:07 p.m.-A report of juveniles on the railroad tracks in the Harding Way East area was investigated.

7:20 p.m.-A report of a group of juveniles on top of the pump house at the Heise Park Pool was investigated. They were advised to stay off of the building or be banned from the park.

7:22 p.m.-A report of a motorist ignoring the stoplights on a school bus was investigated on Harding Way East.

9:34 p.m.-A report of a suspicious vehicle matching the description of one involved in a warning issued by the Crestline Police Department was investigated in the 400 block of South Boston Street.

10:36 p.m.-A report of a man dumping trash into the dumpster at Dollar General.
