Traffic stop leads to arrest for possession of drugs

BUCYRUS―A traffic stop on North Sandusky Avenue at Plymouth Street resulted in the arrest of the driver of the vehicle.

At 6:47 p.m., officers stopped the vehicle and found that the driver was in possession of methamphetamine. The person was arrested for possession of drugs and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

8:11 a.m.-Officers spoke with a person at the station regarding a possible scam.

9:55 a.m.-A standby was made for the City Property Maintenance Officer in the 1100 block of Woodlawn Avenue.

11:14 a.m.-A person came to the station to speak with officers regarding a prior case.

11:39 a.m.-Officers made a civil standby in the 1400 block of Cullen Avenue.

12:22 p.m.-Officers made a welfare check in the 1300 block of Fremont Street.

1:18 p.m.-A parking complaint related to road construction was investigated in the 1500 block of Hopley Avenue.

2:14 p.m.- A disturbance by a person menacing another was reported in the 1700 block of Hopley Avenue. Charges are being filed against the person responsible.

3:08 p.m.-A traffic complaint was made in the 500 block of East Mansfield Street. The officer removed a lost propane tank from the roadway.

4:08 p.m.-Officers spoke to a person at the station about a possible sex crime.

5:22 p.m.- A report of an injured deer was made in the 500 block of Forest Hills Court. Officers were not able to locate the animal.

5:25 p.m.- Officers spoke to a person at the police department about an assault.

5:52 p.m.- Officers assisted the Ohio State Patrol in the 100 block of South Sandusky Avenue.

9:39 p.m.- A report of loud music was made in the 900 block of Maple Street.

10:27 p.m.- A report of a possible breaking and entering was investigated in the 400 block of West Warren Street. It was people moving out of an apartment.

10:52 p.m.-A resident in the 300 block of Whetstone Street reported someone he knows trespassing on his property.  The person was gone before officers arrived.

11:49 p.m.-A car alarm going off in the area of South Walnut and East Center Streets was investigated.

4:45 a.m.-A parking complaint was investigated in the area of Park Avenue and East Lucas Street.

6:01 a.m.-A traffic citation for speeding was issued in the area of South Spring and West Warren Streets.
